Ich wette, dass Sie noch nie zur Bäckerei gegangen sind um Mehl zu kaufen! Das gleiche gilt bei Latex. Latex ist ein rohes Material, woraus verschiedenste Dinge wie Reifen, Bodenmatten, Schläuche, Dunlop und Talalay hergestellt werden können. Aber Latex ist nicht gleich Latex, also seien Sie gewarnt. Sowohl Struktur, Textur und Gefühl als auch Langlebigkeit und Atmungsaktivität etc. werden unterschiedlich ausfallen beim Vergleich von Dunlop und Talalay. Das Geheimnis ist, dass Vita Talalay zwei Produktionsschritte beinhaltet, die bei Dunlop nicht vorzufinden sind: Absaugen und Einfrieren. Genau durch diese beiden Schritte entsteht die runde, offene Zellstruktur, welche für die Belastbarkeit, Langlebigkeit und Atmungsaktivität des Produktes so enorm erhöht.

Dunlop latex

Dunlop ist ein Prozess wo eine Mixtur aus Latex, Vulkanisierungspaste (hilft beim Backen), ein chemisches Schäumungsprodukt (für die Vergelung) und andere Additive wie Seifen hergestellt wird. Nachdem alles zusammengemischt worden ist, wird das Produkt in eine Form (zu 100%) gegossen und danach kurz bei 100°C gebacken. Danach wird es gewaschen und getrocknet.

Dieser Prozess läuft bei Talalay Latexmatratzen etwas anders. Anstatt ein chemisches Schäumungsprodukt zu verwenden, wird die Mixtur in die Gussform gegeben und dann abgesaugt. Dadurch entsteht die runde, offene Zellstruktur. Durch das Einfrieren platzen die Zellen auf und verbinden sich. Nachdem das Vita Talalay Produkt bei 115°C vulkanisiert wird, findet ein zweiter Vulkanisierungsvorgang für acht Stunden statt um die Langlebigkeit noch weiter zu erhöhen.

Neben geformtem Dunlop gibt es auch kontinuierlich gegossenes Dunlop. Dieses Dunlop wird auf einem unendlichen Fließband gefertigt (ähnlich wie beim Viscoschaum) und normalerweise als Bezug produziert, da das Produkt nicht höher als 7.5cm werden kann. Aus diesem Material werden oft Talalay-Kopien erstellt. Aber Talalay lässt sich nicht kopieren! Egal wie Wettbewerber es backen, mit Mikrowellen oder Dampf, es bleibt ein Dunlop mit kleineren Zellen und geringerer Langlebigkeit! Nur Talalay Latexmatratzen können solche Qualitäten bieten!
